# Get a user by ID

`GET /users/{user_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://{tenant_name}.benchling.com/api/v2`
- URL: `https://{tenant_name}.benchling.com/api/v2/users/{user_id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns a user by ID if the caller has permission to view. The following roles have view permission:
  - tenant admins
  - members of any of the user's organizations

  - `apiKeyLastChangedAt` string, nullable
  - `email` string
  - `isSuspended` boolean
  - `passwordLastChangedAt` string, nullable
