# Validate barcodes

`POST /registries/{registry_id}:validate-barcodes`

Validate barcodes on inventory objects.

## Path parameters

- `registry_id` string, required

## Request body

- BarcodesList
  - `barcodes` string[], required: Array of barcodes to validate.

## Response `200`

OK

- BarcodeValidationResults
  - `validationResults` BarcodeValidationResult[]
    - `barcode` string: Barcode to validate.
    - `isValid` boolean: Whether the barcode is valid.
    - `message` string, nullable: If barcode is not valid, a message string explaining the error.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `404`: Not Found
