# Archive Assay Runs

`POST /assay-runs:archive`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://{tenant_name}.benchling.com/api/v2`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Archive assay runs that are not embedded in a notebook entry

## Request body

- AssayRunsArchive: The request body for archiving Assay Runs.
  - `assayRunIds` string[], required
  - `reason` 'Archived' | 'Made in error' | 'Other', required: The reason for archiving the provided Assay Runs. Accepted reasons may differ based on tenant configuration.

## Response `200`

OK

- AssayRunsArchivalChange: IDs of all Assay Runs that were archived / unarchived.
  - `assayRunIds` string[]

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
