# Ask for a business to be removed

`POST /public/removal-requests`

## Request

Asks for a business to be removed from baseray (GDPR Art. 21), by its country and register number. A business its register makes a person's (a sole trader or personally owned business, or an estate) is removed without a reason asked: from the app, the API, AI assistants, exports, public pages and counts, and it is not imported again while its register lists it. Any other business is decided within 7 days (72 hours when `personal_safety` is true). Customers who exported the business in the past 24 months are asked to delete it. The answer is the same whether or not baseray holds the business.

## Request body

- RemovalRequest
  - `country` 'RO' | 'CZ' | 'DK', required: The country of the business's register: `RO`, `CZ` or `DK`.
  - `registration_number` string, required: The business's number in its register: a Romanian CUI (2 to 10 digits; a leading `RO` is dropped), a Czech IČO or a Danish CVR number (8 digits each). Spaces, dots and hyphens are ignored.
  - `production_unit_numbers` string[]: Denmark only: the business's production units (P-numbers, 10 digits) to remove with it.
  - `email` string, email, nullable: Where to confirm the removal. Optional; kept only until the request is decided.
  - `personal_safety` boolean: True when the person cites a protected address or their safety: the request is then decided within 72 hours.
  - `locale` string, nullable: The language to confirm in (`en`, `ro`, `cs`, `da`); English otherwise.

## Response `202`

Received.

- RemovalRequestReceipt: Always `received`, whether or not baseray holds the business, so the answer tells nobody what it holds.
  - `status` 'received', required
  - `reference` string, uuid, required: Names the request in a later message to privacy@baseray.ai.

## Other responses

- `400`: A field is missing, malformed or unknown (`invalid_parameter`); `parameter` names it.
- `429`: Too many removal requests from this visitor in an hour (`rate_limited`); retry after `Retry-After` seconds, or write to privacy@baseray.ai.
