# Add a member to a group

`POST /api/public/organizations/{orgId}/groups/{id}/members`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://charts.basedash.com`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Adds an active organization member or pending invite to a group. Requires admin access to the organization.

## Path parameters

- `orgId` string, required: Organization ID
- `id` string, required: Group ID

Member added to group successfully

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request - Invalid JSON body or validation error
- `401`: Unauthorized - Missing or invalid API key
- `404`: Not found - Group/member not found or no admin access
- `409`: Conflict - Member is already in the group
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded - Too many requests
- `500`: Internal server error
