# Get dashboard access

`GET /api/public/organizations/{orgId}/dashboards/{id}/access`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://charts.basedash.com`
- URL: `https://charts.basedash.com/api/public/organizations/{orgId}/dashboards/{id}/access`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Retrieves who can view, edit and manage a dashboard. Organization admins and the dashboard creator always have full access and are not listed. Requires admin access to the organization.

- `id` string, required: Dashboard ID

Dashboard access retrieved successfully

    - `mode` 'everyone' | 'restricted' | 'inherit', required: everyone: all members have accessLevel, plus any listed principals. restricted: only listed principals, the creator and admins. inherit: the dashboard has no access of its own and uses its folder access.
    - `accessLevel` 'MANAGE' | 'EDIT' | 'VIEW' | 'null', nullable, required: Access level for every member when mode is everyone
    - `groupAccess` object[], required: Organization groups and their access level
      - `id` string, required: Organization group or member ID
      - `accessLevel` 'MANAGE' | 'EDIT' | 'VIEW' | 'NONE', required: MANAGE can edit and change access, EDIT can edit, VIEW can view. NONE explicitly denies this principal, overriding group or everyone access.
    - `memberAccess` object[], required: Organization members and their access level
      - `id` string, required: Organization group or member ID
      - `accessLevel` 'MANAGE' | 'EDIT' | 'VIEW' | 'NONE', required: MANAGE can edit and change access, EDIT can edit, VIEW can view. NONE explicitly denies this principal, overriding group or everyone access.

- `404`: Not found - Dashboard not found or no admin access
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded - Too many requests
- `500`: Internal server error
