# Get AI usage

`GET /api/public/organizations/{orgId}/ai-usage`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://charts.basedash.com`
- URL: `https://charts.basedash.com/api/public/organizations/{orgId}/ai-usage`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Gets total billable AI usage and member usage for the current billing period. Requires admin access to the organization.

## Path parameters

- `orgId` string, required: Organization ID

## Response `200`

AI usage retrieved successfully

- PublicAiUsageResponse
  - `totalUsage` number, required: Total billable AI usage for the billing period in USD dollars
  - `billingPeriodStart` string, date-time, required: Billing period start timestamp
  - `billingPeriodEnd` string, date-time, required: Billing period end timestamp
  - `memberUsage` PublicAiUsageMember[], required: Billable AI usage grouped by organization member
    - `userId` string, required: User ID
    - `memberId` string, required: Organization member ID
    - `email` string, required: Email address of the member
    - `usage` number, required: Billable AI usage for this member in USD dollars

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized - Missing or invalid API key
- `404`: Not found - Organization not found, no admin access, or billing period unavailable
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded - Too many requests
- `500`: Internal server error
