# Get what is new on the account

`GET /updates`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://barevalue.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://barevalue.com/api/v1/updates`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Everything that happened since the caller last asked: an order was received, is ready, or failed and why, or the email address was confirmed. It carries what our emails say. Read from the orders themselves, so it always agrees with the order status.

## Query parameters

- `since` string

## Response `200`

OK

- UpdatesResponse
  - `updates` Update[]: Oldest first
    - `id` string: One per event and never changes, for example order_done:16001. An update can be returned by two consecutive calls: skip an id you have already handled
    - `type` 'order_received' | 'order_done' | 'order_failed' | 'account_confirmed'
    - `at` string, date-time
    - `message` string: A sentence you can pass to your user
    - `order_id` integer: On order updates
    - `podcast_name` string, nullable
    - `episode_name` string, nullable
    - `failure` OrderFailure
      - `code` 'content_not_recognized' | 'language_not_supported' | 'file_too_long' | 'instructions_out_of_scope' | 'too_many_failed_orders' | 'submission_refused' | 'edit_held_back' | 'processing_failed' | 'servers_full': servers_full: the order was accepted, waited hours for a place and was never edited; order again later. edit_held_back on a revision: it would have sounded worse than the original edit, which stays in place. A failed order or revision, whatever the code, uses no minutes from the allowance
      - `message` string: A sentence you can pass to your user
      - `retryable` boolean: Whether ordering the same file again may work. False for everything refused because of the file itself
      - `next_action` string: What to do about it
      - `detected_language` string: Only with language_not_supported
  - `cursor` string: Pass as since on the next call. UTC, safe to put in a URL as it is
  - `more` boolean: True when there were more than 100 updates: call again with the cursor
  - `poll_after_seconds` integer

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `422`: validation_error: since is not a date
