# Send a message on a return request

`POST /return-messages`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:8000/api/shop`
- URL: `http://localhost:8000/api/shop/return-messages`

Sends a message on a return. Attach one file in `file` (multipart) or as a base64 data URI in `attachment` (JSON).

- `X-STOREFRONT-KEY` string, required
- `X-Locale` string
- `X-Channel` string
- `X-Currency` string

## Request body

- object
  - `return_id` integer, required
  - `message` string, required
  - `attachment` string: Attachment as a base64 data URI, max 5 MB.
  - `attachment_name` string: File name shown for the attachment.

## Response `201`

The created message.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid input
- `422`: Validation Error
