# Delete a tax category

`DELETE /settings/tax-categories/{id}`

Mirrors monolith TaxCategoryController::destroy — refuses with HTTP 400 if any tax_rates are still attached to the category.

Tax category deleted.

## Other responses

- `400`: Cannot delete — tax rates still attached.
- `404`: Tax category not found.
