# Download a configuration file

`GET /configuration/download`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:8000/api/admin`
- URL: `http://localhost:8000/api/admin/configuration/download`

Streams the file saved for a `file` or `image` configuration field as an attachment. Send `Accept: application/octet-stream`. `channel` and `locale` pick the scoped value for channel- or locale-based fields and default to the current ones.

## Query parameters

- `code` string, required
- `channel` string
- `locale` string

## Response `200`

The stored file is downloaded.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthenticated.
- `403`: Missing the configuration permission.
- `404`: Unknown field, or no file is stored for it.
- `422`: Missing code, or the field is not a file or image field.
