# Copy a section

`POST /appearance/sections/{id}/duplicate`

Copies a section and its content into the same theme and channel. The copy is created switched off. Read the copy back with the section endpoint.

- `201`: AdminAppearanceSectionDuplicate resource created
- `400`: Invalid input
- `404`: Section not found.
- `422`: Validation Error
