# POST /deviceUpdate/{instanceId}/management/devices:import

`POST /deviceUpdate/{instanceId}/management/devices:import`

Import existing devices from IoT Hub. This is a long-running-operation; use
Operation-Location response header value to check for operation status.

## Path parameters

- `instanceId` string, required

## Query parameters

- `api-version` string, required

## Request body

- 'Devices' | 'Modules' | 'All' — The device import type.

## Response `202`

The request has been accepted for processing, but processing has not yet completed.
