`PATCH /subscriptions/{subscriptionId}/resourceGroups/{resourceGroupName}/providers/Microsoft.DataBoxEdge/dataBoxEdgeDevices/{deviceName}`

Modifies a Data Box Edge/Data Box Gateway resource.

## Path parameters

- `deviceName` string, required
- `subscriptionId` string, required
- `resourceGroupName` string, required

## Request body

- DataBoxEdgeDevicePatch — The Data Box Edge/Gateway device patch.
  - `tags` object — The tags attached to the Data Box Edge/Gateway resource.
  - `identity` ResourceIdentity — Msi identity details of the resource
    - `type` 'None' | 'SystemAssigned' | 'UserAssigned' — Identity type
    - `principalId` string — Service Principal Id backing the Msi
    - `tenantId` string — Home Tenant Id
  - `properties` DataBoxEdgeDevicePropertiesPatch — The Data Box Edge/Gateway device properties patch.
    - `edgeProfile` EdgeProfilePatch — The Data Box Edge/Gateway Edge Profile patch.
      - `subscription` EdgeProfileSubscriptionPatch — The Data Box Edge/Gateway Edge Profile Subscription patch.
        - `id` string — The path ID that uniquely identifies the subscription of the edge profile.
