# Screen a prompt

`POST /api/v2/prompts/moderate`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://azurade.com`
- URL: `https://azurade.com/api/v2/prompts/moderate`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Runs the content-policy screen a generation would run and returns the decision (allow, deny) without generating. Costs 1 credit.

- ModerateRequest
  - `prompt` string, required

## Response `200`

OK

- ModerateResult
  - `balance` number: Your credits after the charge
  - `cost` number
  - `decision` 'allow' | 'deny'

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials
- `402`: Insufficient credits
- `503`: A dependency is unavailable; retry later
