# Get session states for virtual desktops

`GET /api/dcv/virtual_desktops/session_state`

Retrieves the current state of one or more DCV virtual desktop sessions

## Query parameters

- `session_uuid` string, required

## Headers

- `X-EDH-USER` string, required
- `X-EDH-TOKEN` string, required

## Response `200`

Session states retrieved successfully

- object
  - `success` boolean, required
  - `message` object, required — Dictionary mapping session UUIDs to their state objects

## Other responses

- `400` — Missing required parameters
- `401` — Authentication failed
