# Add Events

## Request

Add a batch of events to an Azure Event Grid topic.

## Headers

- `aeg-sas-key` string, required

## Request body

  - `id` string, required: An unique identifier for the event.
  - `topic` string: The resource path of the event source.
  - `subject` string, required: A resource path relative to the topic path.
  - `data` object, required: Event data specific to the event type.
  - `eventType` string, required: The type of the event that occurred.
  - `eventTime` string, date-time, required: The time (in UTC) the event was generated.
  - `metadataVersion` string: The schema version of the event metadata.
  - `dataVersion` string, required: The schema version of the data object.

OK

- `400`: Bad Request
- `403`: Access Denied
- `404`: Not Found
- `429`: Too many events
- `500`: An unexpected error occurred
