# Create Partner Task

`POST /v1/talent/{talentId}/partner-task`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.avionte.com/front-office`
- URL: `https://api.avionte.com/front-office/v1/talent/{talentId}/partner-task`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Creates a partner task on the specified talent on behalf of a partner.

## Path parameters

- `talentId` string, required

## Headers

- `RequestId` string, uuid: Unique request identifier in UUID format used to correlate request data to log entries and events.
- `FrontOfficeTenantId` integer
- `Tenant` string

## Request body

- PartnerTaskRequest
  - `partnerTaskSpecificationId` integer, required: Identifier of the partner task specification (returned by the GET partner task specification endpoint) describing the task to assign to the talent.
  - `taskDueDate` string, date-time, nullable: Optional due date for the task. If the due date passes, the task is not automatically canceled; it remains active and moves to the *Overdue* bucket on the recruiter dashboard. If omitted, the task has no due date and will not appear in Overdue tracking.
  - `taskExternalId` string, nullable: Optional reference identifier supplied by the partner to correlate this task with their own system.

## Response `201`

The newly created partner task.

  - `taskId` integer: Identifier of the newly created onboarding task record.

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Access Denied
- `404`: Not found
- `405`: Unsupported method
- `406`: Unsupported format(s) indicated by Accept header
- `409`: Operation could not be completed due to conflict.
- `415`: Unsupported format(s) indicated by the Content-Type header
- `429`: Too many requests
- `500`: An unexpected error occurred
- `502`: Service Unavailable
- `504`: Gateway Timeout
