# Send one contact-form submission to the support inbox.

`POST /api/v1/support/contact`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.avatarfactory.io` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.avatarfactory.io/api/v1/support/contact`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in cookie `session`
  - HTTP bearer

<br/>Answers 200 with the reference the customer keeps. A honeypot hit gets the<br/>same 200 and the same shape of reference with nothing sent, because a bot<br/>that could tell the two apart would drop the field on the next pass.

## Request body

- ContactRequest: One submission, from either surface. `email` is optional in the schema and required by the route for an anonymous caller: the schema cannot see the session, and a signed-in caller's address comes from their account, never from the body.
  - `anonymous_id` string, nullable
  - `category` 'how-do-i' | 'video-render-failed' | 'avatar-face-voice' | 'credits-limits-plan' | 'billing-invoices-card' | 'sign-in-account' | 'refund' | 'custom-plan-partnership' | 'something-else', required: The wire value. Anything outside this set is a 422, never a guess.
  - `company` string, nullable
  - `device` string, nullable
  - `email` string, nullable
  - `happened` string, required
  - `page_url` string, nullable
  - `screenshot_base64` string, nullable
  - `screenshot_key` string, nullable
  - `screenshot_name` string, nullable
  - `surface` 'marketing' | 'app': Which form sent this. It rides into the mail and into the event.
  - `tried` string, required
  - `turnstile_token` string, nullable
  - `video_or_job_id` string, nullable

## Response `200`

OK

- ContactResponse: What the customer is shown, and quotes back if they write again.
