# Remove a followed account.

`DELETE /api/v1/followed-accounts/{account_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.avatarfactory.io` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.avatarfactory.io/api/v1/followed-accounts/{account_id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in cookie `session`
  - HTTP bearer

<br/>A follower drops only their follow. The steward's remove deletes the<br/>row unless others follow it, in which case the earliest follower<br/>becomes the steward and the account, its reels and its history stay<br/>(Lior, 2026-09-16).
