# Backgrounds list (used by /backgrounds).

`GET /api/v1/backgrounds`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.avatarfactory.io` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.avatarfactory.io/api/v1/backgrounds`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in cookie `session`
  - HTTP bearer

<br/>Returns all preset backgrounds (owner_id=NULL) plus the caller's<br/>own uploads. Admins additionally see other users' uploads.<br/>Filtering happens in the service layer for presets; per-user<br/>scoping is layered here.
