# Switch the model on a deployment

`POST /v1/deployments/{deploymentId}/switch-model`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.auxen.ai`
- URL: `https://api.auxen.ai/v1/deployments/{deploymentId}/switch-model`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Same-plan switches only. Starts the new model and returns a `new_deployment_id` (about 3 minutes; the endpoint URL and api_key change).

## Response `202`

Accepted — switch started.

## Other responses

- `400`: Plan mismatch or invalid model.
- `404`: Resource not found.
- `409`: Conflict with current resource state.
