# Update a goal given its public identifier

`PUT /goals/{public_id}`

## Request

A global goal may carry ``product_asins`` (list): the reviewed set of
products to run — chosen ones come on (created from the catalog where
no product goal exists yet), every other product goal goes off, brand
goals mirror. An empty list turns every product off with the global
staying as sent. Without it the legacy cascade applies.
