# Update a draft that has not yet been sent

`PATCH /drafts/{id}`

## Request

## Request body

  - `to` string: E.164 phone or email

## Response `200`

Updated draft.

- Draft
  - `id` string, required
  - `to` string, required: Empty for a group draft (addressed by chatGUID).
  - `conversationId` string, nullable: The existing thread this draft targets, when there is one (set for conversationId sends and for `to` sends that match a thread).
  - `chatGUID` string, nullable: Group drafts only: the chat id in the connector's `any;+;<id>` form.
  - `body` string, required
  - `sent` boolean, required
  - `sentAt` string, date-time, nullable
  - `scheduledAt` string, date-time, nullable
  - `createdAt` string, date-time, required

## Other responses

- `409`: Draft already sent; cannot modify.
