# Get case session status

`GET /api/triggers/cases/{caseId}/sessions/{sessionId}`

Returns the status and result of a session that was triggered for a specific test case.

Session status.

  - `status` 'queued' | 'created' | 'preparing' | 'running' | 'succeeded' | 'failed' | 'terminated' | 'error' | 'archived', required: Terminal statuses (stop polling): `succeeded`, `failed`, `terminated`, `error`, `archived`.

  - `platform` 'desktop' | 'android' | 'ios', required
  - `screenshotsCount` integer, required
  - `startedAt` string, date-time, nullable
  - `completedAt` string, date-time, nullable
  - `archivedAt` string, date-time, nullable: Set when the result was archived (soft-deleted); archived sessions stay readable here but are hidden from lists.
  - `waitingForUser` boolean: True while the run is parked on a `[manual]` step and waits for `POST /api/sessions/{sessionId}/messages`.
  - `waitingForUserInstruction` string: The step's instruction, present only while `waitingForUser` is true.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `404`: Test case or session not found.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded — e.g. the daily session limit was reached for the organization, or too many API requests were sent in a short window (retry after the number of seconds in the `Retry-After` header).
- `500`: Unexpected server error.
