# Permanently delete an archived test plan

`DELETE /api/plans/{planId}`

Permanently deletes a test plan that has already been archived. Archive it
first with `POST /api/plans/{planId}/archive`; a plan that is not archived
is refused with 409.

The plan's member cases are kept, and so is its run history: those runs are
detached and remain readable as standalone results rather than being
deleted with the plan. The plan's schedule, webhooks, and membership rows
are removed.
This cannot be undone.

Requires an organization admin or owner.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid plan ID.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: Requires an organization admin or owner.
- `404`: Test plan not found.
- `409`: Plan is not archived. Archive it first via POST /api/plans/{planId}/archive.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded — e.g. the daily session limit was reached for the organization, or too many API requests were sent in a short window (retry after the number of seconds in the `Retry-After` header).
- `500`: Unexpected server error.
