# Add a case to a plan

`POST /api/plans/{planId}/cases`

## Request

Appends a test case to the end of a plan. The case must belong to the same
workspace as the plan.

## Path parameters

- `planId` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- object
  - `caseId` string, uuid, required: ID of the case to add.

## Response `201`

Case added to the plan.

- object
  - `success` boolean, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid plan ID or request body.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `404`: Plan not found, or case not found in the same workspace.
- `409`: Case is already in the plan.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded — e.g. the daily session limit was reached for the organization, or too many API requests were sent in a short window (retry after the number of seconds in the `Retry-After` header).
- `500`: Unexpected server error.
