# Download a device agent asset

`GET /api/devices/agent/{file}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://aximo.autify.com`

Downloads one of the on-device agent files listed in the manifest.
Verify the response against the `sha256` from
`GET /api/devices/agent/manifest`.

## Path parameters

- `file` 'remote.py' | 'requirements.txt', required

## Response `200`

Asset content (`text/x-python` for `remote.py`, `text/plain; charset=utf-8` for `requirements.txt`).

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: API key is not scoped to an organization, the user is banned, or the user is no longer a member of the organization.
- `404`: Unknown agent asset, or BYOD is not enabled for the organization.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded — e.g. the daily session limit was reached for the organization, or too many API requests were sent in a short window (retry after the number of seconds in the `Retry-After` header).
- `500`: Unexpected server error.
