# Get a time entry by id

`GET /time-entries/{timeEntryId}`

One time entry

- TimeEntry: A time entry recorded by a team member — working hours (optionally on a project and appointment) or an absence.
  - `id` string, uuid, required
  - `projectId` string, uuid, nullable
  - `jobId` string, uuid, nullable: The appointment (see `GET /jobs`) the time was booked on.
  - `profileId` string, uuid, required: The team member the time belongs to.
  - `startAt` string, date-time, required
  - `endAt` string, date-time, required
  - `startTime` string, date-time, required: Same as `startAt`. Use `startAt`; this name will be removed.
  - `endTime` string, date-time, required: Same as `endAt`. Use `endAt`; this name will be removed.
  - `breakTimeMinutes` integer, required
  - `durationMinutes` integer, required: Minutes from `startAt` to `endAt` less `breakTimeMinutes`, never negative.
  - `status` 'pending' | 'approved' | 'declined', required: Approval state.
  - `entryType` 'working_hours' | 'absent' | 'null', nullable
  - `absenceType` 'vacation' | 'sick_leave' | 'educational_leave' | 'overtime_compensation' | 'public_holiday' | 'vocational_school' | 'sick_child' | 'vacation_unpaid' | 'other' | 'null', nullable: Kind of absence when `entryType` is `absent`.
  - `halfDayPeriod` 'morning' | 'afternoon' | 'null', nullable: Set when the absence covers half a day.
  - `categoryId` string, uuid, nullable
  - `categoryName` string, nullable
  - `note` string, nullable
  - `declinedReason` string, nullable
  - `createdByProfileId` string, uuid, required
  - `updatedByProfileId` string, uuid, nullable
  - `companyId` string, uuid, required
  - `createdAt` string, date-time, required
  - `updatedAt` string, date-time, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request — a malformed id, filter, pagination parameter or body. The body is a plain-text message naming the problem.
- `404`: The specified resource was not found
