# Create Incentive

`POST /tenants/{tenant_id}/designs/{design_id}/pricing/incentives`

Create a new flat incentive on a design.

## Path parameters

- `tenant_id` string, uuid, required
- `design_id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- object
  - `incentive` object
    - `name` string, required: The name of the incentive.
    - `amount` number, required: The value of the incentive. Denominated in the tenant's configured currency (see `currency` on `GET /tenants/{id}`).
    - `year_applied` integer, nullable: Which year (relative to project life, starting with 0) the incentive will be applied in. Year 0 incentives will reduce the financed amount for a cash or loan financing.
    - `incentive_scope` 'national' | 'local': The scope of the incentive.
    - `apply_local_tax` boolean: Should local tax be applied to the incentive?
    - `apply_national_tax` boolean: Should national tax be applied to the incentive?

Incentive successfully created.

    - `incentive_type` 'fixed_amount': The type of the incentive. Currently only flat (`fixed_amount`) incentives can be created via API.
    - `disbursement` string, nullable: How the incentive is disbursed.
    - `duration` number, nullable: How many years the incentive is disbursed over.
    - `system_size_basis` string, nullable: Which size rating should be considered for size-based incentives.
    - `cap` number: The capped amount for the incentive. Denominated in the tenant's configured currency.

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not Found
- `422`: Unprocessable Entity
