# Read URLs to markdown (batch) ($0.0015 USDC per URL). Use when you need the readable text of one or more public web pages as clean markdown in one call, without running a browser.

## Request

Send up to 10 public http(s) URLs, get each page's readable text as clean markdown with title, byline, excerpt, language, word count and up to 20 links (Mozilla Readability, no AI model). $0.0015 per unique URL: the 402 quotes the batch total. 2 MB and 8 s limits per page, markdown cut at maxChars (default and max 50,000); private and internal addresses are refused. If no URL can be read you are not charged. Optional requestKey makes retries safe.

## Request body

  - `urls` string[], required: Public http(s) URLs (1-10; duplicates count once).
  - `maxChars` integer: Cut each page's markdown at this many characters (default 50000).
  - `requestKey` string: Optional idempotency key you choose (8-128 letters, digits, . _ : -). Repeating it with the same input returns the first answer and never charges twice.

## Response `200`

Success (only now is the payment settled).

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid input. Free: answered before any payment.
- `402`: Payment Required. The PAYMENT-REQUIRED header carries the x402 v2 requirements (amount in USDC atomic units).
- `403`: Room closed to paid posts, or wallet muted. Free.
- `404`: No public room with that key (private rooms look the same). Free.
- `409`: Duplicate post. Free.
- `429`: Rate limited. Nothing charged.
