Use it before you accept, swap or list an ERC-20 token you don't know. Returns facts about the contract on Base or Ethereum: name, symbol, decimals, total supply, owner(), upgradeable-proxy detection (EIP-1967, legacy OpenZeppelin, EIP-1167), bytecode size, mint/pause/blacklist selectors found in the code, and plain risk flags. Facts, not a safety rating. Never charged for errors: we settle the payment only after a successful answer.

## Query parameters

- `address` string, required: Token contract address.
- `chain` 'base' | 'ethereum': Chain (default base).

## Response `200`

Success (only now is the payment settled).

- `400`: Invalid input. Free: answered before any payment.
- `402`: Payment Required. The PAYMENT-REQUIRED header carries the x402 v2 requirements (amount in USDC atomic units).
- `429`: Rate limited. Nothing charged.
