# Email address check ($0.001 USDC). Use before you email someone, or to screen sign-ups for typos, disposable or role addresses.

Use it before you send to an address, or to screen sign-ups and leads for typos, disposable domains and role addresses. Checks syntax, MX records (with the A-record fallback), null MX, a list of about 120,000 disposable domains, role addresses (info@, support@…) and free providers, without sending anything. No SMTP probing, so it can't confirm the mailbox exists. Never charged for errors: we settle the payment only after a successful answer.

## Query parameters

- `email` string, required: Email address to check.

## Response `200`

Success (only now is the payment settled).

- `400`: Invalid input. Free: answered before any payment.
- `402`: Payment Required. The PAYMENT-REQUIRED header carries the x402 v2 requirements (amount in USDC atomic units).
- `429`: Rate limited. Nothing charged.
