# Retrieve transaction

`GET /v1/transactions/{id}`

Retrieves a transaction by ID.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

  - `id` string, uuid, required — Unique identifier of the transaction.
  - `type` 'transaction', required — Resource type discriminator.
  - `side` 'credit' | 'debit', required — Direction of the movement relative to the merchant account.
  - `status` 'pending' | 'completed' | 'failed', required — Lifecycle state of the transaction.
  - `amount` string, required — Absolute amount as a string decimal (e.g. "100.50").
  - `currency` 'EUR' | 'GBP' | 'USD' | 'USDC', required — ISO 4217 fiat or crypto currency code of the amount.
  - `account_id` string, uuid, required — ID of the merchant account this transaction settled on.
  - `product` object, nullable, required — The product that caused this transaction, or null when no product is linked.
    - `type` 'deposit' | 'deposit_return' | 'refund' | 'payout', required — Type of the product that caused this transaction.
    - `id` string, required — Identifier of the product resource that caused this transaction.
  - `counterparty` union, required — Bank account or wallet of the other party, or null when not known.

      - `type` 'iban', required — Discriminator for IBAN financial address.
      - `iban` string, required — International Bank Account Number.
      - `account_holder_name` string, required — Name of the account holder.
      - `bic` string, nullable, required — Bank Identifier Code, or null if not provided.
    - SortCodeFinancialAddress
      - `type` 'sort_code', required — Discriminator for UK sort code financial address.
      - `sort_code` string, required — UK sort code (6 digits).
      - `account_number` string, required — UK account number (8 digits).
      - `account_holder_name` string, required — Name of the account holder.
    - AbaFinancialAddress
      - `type` 'aba', required — Discriminator for ABA wire financial address.
      - `routing_number` string, required — ABA routing number (9 digits).
      - `account_number` string, required — Bank account number.
      - `account_holder_name` string, required — Name of the account holder.

      - `type` 'crypto_wallet', required — Discriminator for crypto wallet financial address.
      - `address` string, required — Wallet address on the specified blockchain.
