# Search persons (speakers)

`GET /api/persons`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.audioscrape.com`
- URL: `https://www.audioscrape.com/api/persons`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Searches the persons index by name. Persons are speakers identified across podcast transcripts — every speaker who's been attributed to at least one segment.

## Query parameters

- `q` string
- `limit` integer

## Response `200`

Matching persons

- PersonList
  - `persons` PersonSummary[], required
    - `description` string, nullable
    - `id` integer, required
    - `name` string, required
    - `slug` string, required
  - `total` integer, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `402`: No active subscription (paid endpoint requires a subscription)
- `403`: Endpoint not available on the caller's plan
- `429`: Monthly quota exhausted (response includes `usage: { current, limit }`)
