# Search knowledge-graph entities

`GET /api/entities`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.audioscrape.com`
- URL: `https://www.audioscrape.com/api/entities`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Searches the knowledge-graph index for entities (people, organisations, places, topics, products) extracted from podcast content. Results are sorted by total mention count across the corpus.

  - `entities` EntityDetail[], required
    - `description` string, nullable
    - `entity_type` string, required
    - `id` integer, required
    - `mention_count` integer, required
    - `name` string, required
    - `recent_episodes` EntityEpisodeMention[]: Top episodes mentioning this entity. Only populated by `GET /api/entities/{slug}` — search results (`GET /api/entities`) always return an empty list and the field is omitted from the JSON to keep responses compact.
      - `episode_id` integer, required
      - `episode_title` string, required
      - `mention_count` integer, required
      - `podcast_title` string, required
    - `slug` string, required
    - `wikidata_qid` string, nullable: Wikidata QID for head entities (GH#161 linking) — the stable external join key. Omitted when unlinked (the long tail).
  - `total` integer, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `402`: No active subscription (paid endpoint requires a subscription)
- `403`: Endpoint not available on the caller's plan
- `429`: Monthly quota exhausted (response includes `usage: { current, limit }`)
