# Ask a question about one note

`POST /v1/notes/{id}/ask`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.audiomap.ai`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

The answer quotes the audio as [mm:ss]; `citedSegments` carries the transcript segment ids the retrieval used.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `402`: Not enough credits
- `403`: Your plan does not include the REST API
- `404`: No note with that id belongs to you
- `409`: The note is not ready
- `429`: Too many requests for this API key
- `502`: The model did not answer; credits were refunded
