# Where your key stands this month

`GET /v1/usage`

## Request

Your plan, the calls and data used this month against the limits the API enforces, and your requests per minute. The same numbers as /account. Needs a key. Reading it is free and does not count as a call; it is limited to 30 a minute.

## Response `200`

Usage for the current month (UTC).

- UsageResponse: Where a key stands this month. The same numbers as /account.
  - `plan` 'free' | 'plus' | 'studio' | 'enterprise' | 'founder' | 'custom', required: The plan of the account. custom is a hand-issued key without a subscription.
  - `period` object, required
    - `start` string, date, required: First day of the month (UTC).
    - `end` string, date, required: Last day of the month (UTC).
    - `resetsAt` string, date-time, required: When the counters start again.
  - `calls` object, required
    - `used` integer, required: Accepted requests this month, across all the keys of the account. A request that then fails still counts.
    - `limit` integer, nullable, required: Calls allowed per month; null when there is no limit.
    - `remaining` integer, nullable, required: limit minus used, never below 0; null when there is no limit.
  - `data` object, required
    - `usedBytes` integer, required: Bytes of audio processed this month.
    - `limitBytes` integer, nullable, required: Bytes allowed per month; null when there is no limit.
    - `remainingBytes` integer, nullable, required: limitBytes minus usedBytes, never below 0; null when there is no limit.
  - `requestsPerMinute` integer, required: Requests per minute this key may make to the analysis routes.

## Other responses

- `401`: Invalid or revoked API key. /v1/batch and /v1/usage always need a key; the analysis routes also run without one, as a small keyless trial. Codes: invalid_api_key.
- `429`: Too many requests this minute. See Retry-After. Codes: rate_limited.
- `500`: Something went wrong on our side. The details are logged and never sent to you. Codes: storage_unavailable, analysis_error.
