# Create Team

`POST /organizations/teams`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.attention.tech/v2`

Creates a new team in the organization. You can optionally specify a parent team to create a hierarchical team structure. The team will be created with default permissions and settings.

- CreateTeamRequest
  - `name` string, required
  - `parentTeamUUID` string

## Response `200`

Team successfully created

  - `data` Team: Represents a team in the system with its properties and hierarchical structure
    - `uuid` string: Unique identifier of the team
    - `name` string: Name of the team
    - `phrases` string[]: List of keywords or phrases associated with the team
    - `slackConnection` SlackConnection: Represents the Slack integration details for a team
      - `id` string: Slack connection identifier
      - `info` SlackTeamInfo: Information about a connected Slack team
        - `id` string: Slack team identifier
        - `name` string: Name of the Slack team
    - `domain` string: Domain associated with the team
    - `organizerJoinInternalMeetings` boolean: Whether team organizers can join internal meetings
    - `consentEmailEnabled` boolean: Whether email consent is enabled for the team
    - `parentTeamUUID` string: UUID of the parent team if this team is part of a hierarchy
    - `organizationUUID` string: UUID of the organization this team belongs to
    - `children` Team[]: List of child teams if this team has a hierarchical structure

## Other responses

- `400`: Parent Team does not exist or is not part of the organization
- `401`: Valid API key required
- `409`: A team with the same name already exists in the organization
- `500`: Unexpected server error. Please try again later.
- `default`: unexpected error
