# Sings up a new user/workspace

`POST /api/sign-up`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.atono.io`
- URL: `https://api.atono.io/api/sign-up`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-KEY`

Provisions a new workspace, creates a user in it and initiates the Email validation flow

## Request body

- SignUpRequest: A request to provision new workspace
  - `email` string, email, required: Email of the user that wants to signup
  - `fullName` string, required: Full name of the user that wants to signup
  - `workspaceName` string, required: Desired workspace name
  - `workspaceUrl` string, required: Desired workspace URL
  - `skipSampleData` boolean: If true, skip populating sample data even if populateTrialData is enabled

## Response `200`

Acknowledgement of the request

- SignUpResponse
  - `message` string, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid email or workspace name supplied
- `500`: Unexpected error
