# Unfollow items

`DELETE /api/followed_items`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.atono.io`
- URL: `https://api.atono.io/api/followed_items`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-KEY`

Removes items from the list of followed items for the current user using a filter expression

## Query parameters

- `filter` FollowedItemControllerDeleteFilter, required
  - `filter[backlogItemId]` string, uuid, nullable, required: ID of the backlog item to unfollow.

## Response `204`

The item was successfully unfollowed

## Other responses

- `400`: No filter was provided
- `404`: The item to unfollow could not be found in the workspace
- `500`: Unexpected error
