# Get project policy rules

`GET /rest/api/2/policies/project/{projectIdOrKey}/rules`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://your-domain.atlassian.net`
- URL: `https://your-domain.atlassian.net/rest/api/2/policies/project/{projectIdOrKey}/rules`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP basic
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://auth.atlassian.com/authorize`, token URL `https://auth.atlassian.com/oauth/token`, scopes: `manage:jira-project`)

Returns the configuration of the queried rule type IDs for a given project.

Use this to check whether specific rules are active on a project, and if so, how they are configured.

Only rules that are actually active on the project are returned. Rules that are not active are omitted from the response.
