# Add a user to the default reviewers

`PUT /repositories/{workspace}/{repo_slug}/default-reviewers/{target_username}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.bitbucket.org/2.0`
- URL: `https://api.bitbucket.org/2.0/repositories/{workspace}/{repo_slug}/default-reviewers/{target_username}`
- Auth: one of:
  - OAuth 2
    - Authorization code: `https://bitbucket.org/site/oauth2/authorize`
    - Token URL: `https://bitbucket.org/site/oauth2/access_token` scopes: `repository:admin`
  - HTTP basic
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Adds the specified user to the repository's list of default
reviewers.

This method is idempotent. Adding a user a second time has no effect.

## Response `200`

The specified user was successfully added to the default reviewers

- Account: An account object.
  - `type` string, required
  - `links` AccountLinks: Links related to an Account.
    - `avatar` Link: A link to a resource related to this object.
      - `href` string, uri
      - `name` string
  - `created_on` string, date-time
  - `display_name` string
  - `uuid` string

## Other responses

- `400`: If the authenticated user tried to add a team, bot user, or user without access to the repository to the default reviewers
- `403`: If the authenticated user does not have permission to modify the default reviewers
- `404`: If the specified user does not exist
