# Move Brand Facts

`POST /api/v1/knowledge-base/facts/move`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.athenahq.ai`
- URL: `https://api.athenahq.ai/api/v1/knowledge-base/facts/move`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Files 1-50 brand facts under a published Knowledge Base pillar. Works for unfiled facts and re-files facts from other pillars. Review status never changes, and only approved facts under a published pillar feed content generation, so moving is what puts approved facts to work. Ids with no fact on the website are reported in not_found_ids instead of failing the call, so retries are idempotent. Requires a website-admin API key. Also available as the MCP tool `move_brand_facts`.

## Request body

  - `website_id` string, uuid, required: The website whose facts to move.
  - `pillar_id` string, uuid, required: The published pillar to file the facts under.
  - `fact_ids` string[], required: Facts to move. A single move is a one-element array.

## Response `200`

Move report

  - `moved_count` integer, required: Facts actually re-filed onto the pillar.
  - `unchanged_ids` string[], required: Requested facts that were not moved: already on the target, or no longer present by the time the move ran.
  - `not_found_ids` string[], required: Requested ids with no fact on this website: already deleted or never existed.
  - `pillar` object, required: The target pillar the facts were filed under.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request - Invalid parameters, or the target pillar is not published
- `401`: Unauthorized - Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Forbidden - No admin access to this website, or the Knowledge Base is not enabled for the organization
- `404`: Not found - No pillar with this id on the website
