# Delete Brand Facts

`POST /api/v1/knowledge-base/facts/delete`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.athenahq.ai`
- URL: `https://api.athenahq.ai/api/v1/knowledge-base/facts/delete`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Permanently deletes 1-50 brand facts from a website's Knowledge Base. There is no undo. Ids with no fact on the website are reported in not_found_ids instead of failing the call, so retries are idempotent. Requires a website-admin API key; on OAuth MCP connections the signed-in user must hold the admin role. Also available as the MCP tool `delete_brand_facts`.

## Request body

- object
  - `website_id` string, uuid, required: The website whose facts to delete.
  - `fact_ids` string[], required: Facts to delete. A single delete is a one-element array.

## Response `200`

Deletion report

- object
  - `success` true, required
  - `deleted_count` integer, required: Facts actually deleted.
  - `not_found_ids` string[], required: Requested ids with no fact on this website: already deleted or never existed.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request - Invalid parameters
- `401`: Unauthorized - Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Forbidden - No admin access to this website, or the Knowledge Base is not enabled for the organization
