# Subscribe to or unsubscribe from an optional-email family

`PATCH /users/me/email-preferences`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.atako.ai`
- URL: `https://api.atako.ai/users/me/email-preferences`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Expressed as SUBSCRIBED (`{"digest": false}` stops the activity digest). Merges, so a payload naming one family leaves the others untouched. An unknown family is rejected rather than ignored.

## Response `200`

    - `key` 'welcomeD2' | 'welcomeD5' | 'digest' | 'survey', required
    - `subscribed` boolean, required: True while this family still reaches the caller.

## Other responses

- `400`: Unknown family or non-boolean value.
- `401`: Missing, malformed, or invalid bearer token / API key, or revoked session (SESSION_REVOKED).
- `404`: User not found
