# Preview the billing effect of a target total seat count

`POST /subscriptions/licenses/preview`

## Request

Company-admin only, no side effect. AF-57 (billing v2). An increase previews the immediate Stripe proration charge; a reduction previews the scheduled change with nothing due today.

## Other responses

- `400`: quantity must be a positive integer / NO_CHANGE
- `401`: Missing, malformed, or invalid bearer token / API key, or revoked session (SESSION_REVOKED).
- `403`: The caller does not have the required role/permission.
- `404`: No company / No active subscription
- `500`: Stripe subscription has no line items
