# Delete a file or folder (recursive)

`DELETE /client/files/{nodeId}`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Cascades the whole subtree and removes the Storage objects. Author or company admin only.

## Path parameters

- `nodeId` string, required

## Response `200`

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, malformed, or invalid bearer token / API key, or revoked session (SESSION_REVOKED).
- `403`: Not the author, and not a company admin.
- `404`: Not found, or the caller is not authorized to access this resource.
