# List runtime engines and the default used when creating an agent

`GET /agent-engines`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.atako.ai`
- URL: `https://api.atako.ai/agent-engines`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Distinct from `/harnesses` (an optional, backoffice-managed catalog): the engine is what actually runs the agent, and a new agent always falls back to `default` when `engine` is omitted on creation.

  - `profiles` object[]: Capability profile per engine — what the API will actually allow (channels, integrations, interagent mode, repo requirement), plus `selectable`: whether it may still be picked when creating an agent (an unselectable engine stays valid for agents already running on it).

    - `integrations` union, required: `'all'`, or the provider keys this engine may be granted.

- `401`: Missing, malformed, or invalid bearer token / API key, or revoked session (SESSION_REVOKED).
