# Mobile Number Numerology

`POST /v1/numerology/mobile-number`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.asterwise.com`
- URL: `https://api.asterwise.com/v1/numerology/mobile-number`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Analyses a mobile/phone number numerologically. Body: `number`, optional `country` (ISO 3166 alpha-2). Sums the digits of the national number, country code left out (libphonenumber): with `country` the number is read as dialled there first, international prefix included; a valid '+' or '00' number drops its country code; a '+' number that is not valid sums every digit after the '+', and a '00' number that is not valid is summed as written; with no prefix and no `country`, only India's code is removed (a 12-digit number starting 91) and any other number is summed as written, since the country cannot be known. Reduces to a single number and returns theme, harmony score, recommended uses, `digits_used`, `country_code` when one was left out, and `master_number` when the total passes through 11, 22 or 33. A number with no digits, or only zeros, is rejected with 422 `validation_error`, and so is an unknown `country` (issue `unknown_country`, field `country`).

## Request body

- MobileNumberRequest: POST body for mobile number numerology: the number stays out of the URL.
  - `number` string, required: Mobile number, digits only or with country code. The country code is not counted: the national number of a valid number is summed (libphonenumber). With `country`, the number is read as dialled in that country first, including its international prefix (Australia '0011 …', US '011 …'). A '+' number libphonenumber does not accept is summed with every digit after the '+'; a '00' number counts as international only if the rest is a valid number, otherwise it is summed as written. With no prefix and no `country`, the only code removed is India's (a 12-digit number starting 91), and every other number is summed as written, because the country cannot be known (China '180…' would look like US +1).
  - `country` string, nullable: Optional ISO 3166 alpha-2 country the number is dialled in (e.g. 'IN', 'US', 'AU'). The number is parsed in that country first, so a country code or trunk 0 written in front is dropped and that country's international prefix is understood ('14155552671' with 'US' → 4155552671; '0011 61 412 345 678' with 'AU' → 412345678). An unknown code is a 422 `validation_error` with issue `unknown_country` on field `country`.
